Check out this salt and pepper shaker set. The picture does not do the set justice.
I saw them while searching for 24k gold dust. Stopped by to ask my friend Pernilla about the dust and these caught my eye.

Oh, wow. These are truly lovverly. Did you buy them or did you have the self-control to leave them on the shelf?

I would except that my extremely modest income will not allow such a purchase.

These are so beautiful. Do they hang? Is there some kind of cap for shaking out the salt? Holy are they gorgeous.

They're really nice, UB.

By the way, I was thinking of you a couple of weeks back when I was proofreading a book on "fast bread". It was pretty interesting stuff. Almost made me want to bake some loaves.

Hi Candy - yes, they have caps, (or can seal somehow...I wanted to pick them up and look more closely, but as you know I was afraid of something terrible and embarrassing to happen, so wisely chose not to touch them AT ALL), and should/could be hung. There is no holder made for them...Pernilla, get on that will you!
* - oh god, proofreading a cook/bake book could get quite uninteresting quite fast I would think. If the book almost inspired you to make something, it must be pretty good. Shall I watch for it?

Oh my gosh - I would wear them on a necklace proudly - or at the very least duplicate them into these fab earrings or something..in silver.

Wow, I've never seen anything like that before. Very medieval. Very cool.

Hey, you might be on to something there. The breads were interesting, but recipe after recipe is very tedious! I'll let you know when it's out.
