The henna designs are amazing. I've seen them before. I could totally see doing a white cake with the henna piped on in chocolate. That would look super-cool. You're doing such an awesome job with this! I never learned pastillage in school, and I'm a little ticked.
Welcome Tiff - when is the wedding?? You can do the cake, just call me to find out WHAT NOT TO DO.
WC - pastillage is pretty easy - kind of like working with playdough, except it dries quickly so you have to work fast. I found it really fun to do, and prefer working with it to fondant, at least at this stage of things.
